ILA RIGGING MEETING: A SIGN OF DEFEAT FOR OSUN APC - OSUN ACCORD

ILA RIGGING MEETING: A SIGN OF DEFEAT FOR OSUN APC - OSUN ACCORD

Our attention has been drawn to an evil political meeting held at the residence of Chief Bisi Akande by chieftains of the Osun state All Progressives Congress(APC). We note all the details and we conclude that the Osun APC has finally conceded defeat ahead of the August 15th polls.

We are firstly disappointed that the calibre of people gathered at the said meeting could descend as low as to contemplate political killings of prominent Accord leaders as well as other illegal and unconstitutional actions towards compromising the August elections. This development is a reprehensible descent into political perdition which has further reinforced the imminent defeat of Bola Oyebamiji on August 15th.

Now that the Osun APC has openly accepted defeat, we call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ignore and reject the failed plans of the Osun APC. We call the attention of Mr President to the genesis of current development which stemmed from Oyetola/Oyebamiji’s lack of capacity both in government and in the management of political parties.

The duo not only failed while in government but they destroyed the Osun APC which was handed over to them on a platter of gold. It is not the fault of the Osun Accord that Oyetola/Oyebamiji could not manage the Osun APC, leading to the exit of prominent figures and daily resignation from the party. The Oyetola caucus was so non-inclusive and rapidly dictatorial that the Osun APC lost over 60 percent of its followership in 2026 alone.

It is also on record that Governor Ademola Adeleke actually yielded to the invitation to join President Tinubu for the re-election project but the Marine Minister blocked him despite interventions by prominent presidency officials. The minister appears to prioritise his undeclared agenda against even the best interest of Mr President. Osun APC is today the ghost of its old self.

We condemn in the strongest possible terms the shameless resort to violence and unethical strategies of the Osun APC leadership. We specifically task Mr President to reject all the evil proposals already forwarded to his table. Those details like killings of Accord leaders, directing military and other security agencies to outrightly rig Osun elections, and the open push to compromise the electoral commissions are dangerous ploys that constitute a grievous threat to all democrats and national democratic life of the nation.

We also charge Osun people to remain vigilant and unwavering in the defence of their rights to vote and be voted for. No stone will be left unturned to protect the sanctity and integrity of the electoral process.

We task Osun people to reject scaremongering, the psychological warfare designed to water down the democratic resolve of our people. Osun APC is on its knees; it is defeated; and final defeat shall come on August 15th.

As Governor Adeleke put it, we shall vote, our votes shall count, we shall be victorious and we shall reach the promised land by the grace of God and massive support of the people.

Pastor Victor Akande, State Chairman, Osun Accord. June 21st, 2026

Governor Ademola Adeleke has described APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji as an abysmal failure in government who lacks any credentials to criticise a widely commended incumbent administration in Osun state.

“Osun came first in the South West under primary health care access for both 2024 and 2025. A new rating put Osun public healthcare at number five position in efficiency and accessibility. Why is Oyebamiji not proud of such accomplishments by our administration?

The governor blasted Oyebamiji for opposing local content policy, which has empowered Osun businesses and contractors. Why is Oyebamiji interested in capital flight, was the case under their administration? Why is Oyebamiji opposed to Osun money serving Osun people?

“The competency of contractors handling Osun projects are attested to by the elegant deliveries of Okefia and Lameco bridges. Their qualifications for the job were also validated by the Nigeria Society of Engineers. They are delivering excellent jobs at Osogbo, Ila, Ilesa, Iwo, Ile Ife and other towns in the state

The governor denied awarding contracts to incompetent contractors, analysing that all contracts awarded by the administration followed due process, compliance with procurement laws and due diligence on the financial and technical competency of the bidding companies.

Exposed : AMBO Campaigns Rebranding Vehicles in Accord Colours to Launch Fresh Wave of Gun Attacks

OSOGBO - 12/06/2026 - Osunstate.gov.ng

The Osun chapter of the Accord has raised alarm over an ongoing plot by the Bola Oyebamiji campaign organisation to rebrand and repaint some of its campaign vehicles in Accord colours to launch a fresh wave of gun attacks and blame it on Governor Ademola Adeleke.

In a statement issued at Osogbo, the party state chairman, Pastor Victor Akande alerted the public and the security agencies of the devilish agenda which is currently ongoing at Kabtok hotel owned by a chieftain of the Osun APC.

The party alerted the public that the APC campaign is currently replacing Ambo logos with Accord/Adeleke pictures and that the plan is to use the rebranded vehicles to start another round of gun attacks.

The ruling party went further to inform the public that the rebranding process is currently ongoing at the hotel, adding that "reliable information revealed that the new round of attacks may happen from tonight or Saturday across major towns in Osun.

“We gathered that the terror team in charge of the operations arrived in Osogbo on Thursday evening and they are lodged at the same Kabotok hotel. The repainting is ongoing at the hotel as we issue this press release.

The Accord then called on the security agencies to nip the evil plot in the bud by raiding the named hotel and other suspected hideouts to arrest those behind the planned criminal conducts.

“We notify the Inspector General of Police of the evil scheme. We seek the intervention of the IGP to direct the state commissioner of police to take immediate action to stop the criminal act from materialising.

“We also call on all other security agencies to be aware of the plot and act to secure the good people of Osun state. Accord has no terror gang and the Osun APC should be held to account over the exposed plot to plunge the state into another round of grief and terror”, the party chairman submitted.

Don't Falsify History, Adeleke Did not Reject President Tinubu’s Invitation- Spokesperson Replies Senator Fadahunsi

Don't Falsify History, Adeleke Did not Reject President Tinubu’s Invitation- Spokesperson Replies Senator Fadahunsi

OSOGBO - 04/06/2026 - Osunstate.gov.ng

Governor Ademola Adeleke did not at any point in time reject the Invitation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) but he was blocked by the Marine Minister, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and Osun APC.

This clarification was made by the Spokesperson to Governor Adeleke, Mallam Olawale Rasheed while debunking statements credited to Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi in a recent interview that the governor rejected several invitations from Mr President in 2025.

The spokesperson clarified that the facts of the exchanges between the Presidency and the state governor are clearly in public domain as affirmed by actors on both sides of the divides, calling the senator's statement “a failed, weak attempt to rewrite history that is still very fresh in the minds of Nigerians and Osun people.

“Governor Adeleke responded to the invitation of Mr President. He actually met the President with his family members. But the process was truncated by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola. The public is fully aware of the development. Senator Fadahunsi cannot twist or falsify history.

“After he was blocked, the governor moved ahead to endorse the re-election of Mr President first while he was in PDP and now that he is in the Accord. Governor Adeleke only recently listed cogent reasons why he endorsed Mr President.

“All other personal attacks on the governor by Senator Fadahunsi are immaterial. The governor is daily receiving endorsement of multiple sectors of Osun society. From all corners of Osun state, residents and indigenes appreciate the extraordinary performance of Mr Governor.

“The governor holds his head high as he rides on the grace of God and the people to victory on August 15. No amount of historical falsification can change reality. From presidency to the lowest rung of Osun society, the governor is acclaimed as a true agent of development and a man of the people”, the Spokesperson posited.
