Easter: Governor Adeleke felicitates with Christians • Says Osun is going through transformation phase
OSOGBO– 29/03/2024– Osunstate.gov.ng
The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Ademola has felicitated with Christians on the celebration of Easter, charging them to use the occasion to value of love and sacrifice.
Governor Adeleke who said the Easter is a powerful reminder of the triumph of hope over despair, called on the people of the state not to lose hope over the prevailing economic realities as there will be light at the end of the tunnel as the resurrection of Jesus Christ demonstrated.
"Easter is the clearest manifestation that pain is always a temporary experience and if endured will give way for an everlasting joy. Jesus Christ, as the Holy Book of Bible impressed on us, was a typical lesson on the power of hope and resilience.
"Beyond the celebration that comes with the moment, it is also a reminder of how love can save, and why we must imbibe the culture of selfless service to humanity as exemplified by Jesus Christ. Let's be concerned about the good of each other, and more, show tolerance, irrespective of our differences", the Governor noted.

He said his administration will continue to prioritize decisions and interventions that will have direct bearing on the people of the state, emphasising his resolve to work with governments across tiers to deliver on infrastructure and welfare needs of the people.
"Our administration is committed to a revitalized Osun state with increased opportunities and this explains our choice of investment in public infrastructures across sectors. We are not only committed to seeing through the infrastructure plan unveiled a few months ago but also expanding reach in an effort to broaden the prospect of our economy and stimulate investors interest.
"Our commitment to the welfare of workers and pensioners is unshaken, and I want to reiterate the willingness of this administration to resolve the inherited liabilities within available resources. Our administration will not treat their welfare with disdain as was in the past", the Governor added.
The Governor rallies the people of the state to be alive to their responsibilities as citizens, saying his administration will not leave any stone unturned in transforming the state and open up pathway of enduring opportunities for the people.

UNIOSUN SERVER HACKED OVER TEACHERS’ RECRUITMENT TEST
PRESS STATEMENT
The management of Osun State University has disclosed that its server was hacked overnight by unknown criminals trying to disrupt the teachers’ recruitment test slated for today.
“Unexpectedly, our server was attacked at midnight today. We responded technically and frustrated attempts to hack into our core software and questions bank.
“The damage done to the server took time to be resolved. This is the reason that the start of exams was unduly delayed and had to be rescheduled for two centres out of thirteen centers.
Our joy is that the hackers or opposers of this recruitment process have failed in their attempts to frustrate us. It has been a tough battle in the last eight or so in our effort to ensure the success of Osun State government.
Examinations have been concluded at 11 out of the 13 locations today. The two problematic centres: Osogbo and Ikire centres will be rescheduled based on Ministry decision.
We await the Ministry's decision on this. We thank you for tolerating the situation.
This situation also happens, even with JAMB exams. All the 11 centres where we are successful have concluded ALL the sessions planned for today, by the grace of God.
We are sorry, and we sincerely apologize for getting you agitated. We are on course, though behind schedule. Thank you all.

Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Bold Infrastructural Agenda, as a Step Towards Progress; A Civil Society View
..by Comrade Olalekan Johnson
In less than two years of assumption of Office, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s tenure in Osun State has been marked by a radicalization of governance approach towards infrastructural development, heralding a new era of progress and transformation. Despite inheriting substantial debts in wages, salaries, and contractor obligations, Governor Adeleke has demonstrated unwavering commitment to fulfilling his promise of transforming Osun State into a model of development.
One of the most striking achievements of Governor Adeleke’s administration is the transformation of key infrastructures that were previously neglected and left to deteriorate by his predecessor. Of important note,is the rejuvenation of the State Government Secretariat, at Abeere, which stands as a testament to the administration’s dedication to modernizing governance infrastructure. The once dilapidated Secretariat has undergone a remarkable overhaul, providing a conducive environment for efficient service delivery, while also birthing a new economic community around the State Secretariat community.
Similarly, the recent completion of the refurbishment of the State Government House reflects Governor Adeleke’s commitment to restoring dignity and functionality to public institutions. By revitalizing these symbolic structures of governance, the administration sends a strong message of renewal and progress to the people of Osun State.
The expansion and rehabilitation of major township roads further underscore Governor Adeleke’s determination to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents. These road projects, which were long overdue, will not only alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow but will also stimulate economic activities and facilitate greater connectivity within the state.
Despite initial skepticism and opposition, Governor Adeleke’s infrastructural agenda has garnered widespread support and endorsement from critics and members of the opposition alike. The tangible progress beng witnessed across Osun State has silenced detractors and compelled even the staunchest critics to acknowledge the administration’s achievements.
As Governor Adeleke continues to steer Osun State towards a brighter future, it is imperative that he remains resolute in his commitment to upholding the standards set by his administration. While the road ahead may be challenging, the governor must stay true to his vision of transformation without compromising on quality or integrity.
It is encouraging to see Governor Adeleke’s willingness to prioritize development and progress above partisan interests. By transcending political divides and focusing on the common good, Governor Adeleke sets a commendable example for leadership in Nigeria’s governance landscape.
It must be placed on records, that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s radical infrastructural agenda represents a significant step towards progress and prosperity for Osun State. As he navigates the complexities of governance, it is imperative that Governor Adeleke remains steadfast in his commitment to transforming Osun State into a beacon of development without lowering the high standards already set by his administration.

ABUJA-26/03/2024-Osunstate.gov.ng
Governor Ademola Adeleke has vowed to revive the abandoned upgrading project for the nine technical colleges in Osun state, requesting the consultant to mobilise to the state for the completion of the project.
"We cannot afford to abandon such a lofty project. We need technical colleges more than ever before to address the increasing joblessness in the country.
"Why would an elected Governor abandon projects inherited from Aregbesola and others? It is sheer insensitivity. Is government not continuum? For me and my team, we are completing such projects even as we start our own. Let me declare here that technical colleges are back from now onward.
"Please send your team to Osun to revive the project. Many equipment that are locked up should not waste away. We need the technical colleges to be upgraded to meet the job needs of our teeming population", Govermor Adeleke told the General Manager of the Innovation Hub, Mr Meir Dagan.
The Governor who was taken round the training facilities and equipment lamented that most equipment in use at the Hub are locked up in Osun for several years, expressing shock that a government for whatever reason could abandon a critical project like the technical college upgrade.

"We are ready to deploy to Osun state to complete the project. We really appreciate the committment of Mr Governor to the revival of the project. Your visitation today is a confirmation of your great leadership in Osun state", Mr Dagan said.
The Governor was accompannied on the trip by the wife of the Governor, Chief(Mrs) Titi Adeleke, the Commissioner for Federal Affairs, Hon Adenike Adeleke and other state officials.

Fake News: Osun Government Sets up Action Committee On Cyber Crimes, Cyber Bullying
NEWS RELEASE
OSOGBO- 24/03/3024 - Osunstate.gov.ng
Worried by a pervasive fake news operation in Osun state, the State Government has set up a Cyber Crime Action Committee to give effect to relevant provisions of the law with respect to cyber crimes, cyber bullying and deliberate online false news.
The government in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, stated that the step becomes necessary to sanitize the governance space and ensure that politicking and governance take place under an atmosphere of responsibility, decency and honesty.
The statement posited that the increasing wave of fake news negatively affects both the government and the opposition and that it is high time all operators are brought within the compass of the law in the exercise of their rights as guaranteed by the constitution.
Oluomo Alimi said the committee domiciled at the Ministry of Justice has as members journalists and legal practitioners, imforming the public that the mandate is to ensure that fake news are nipped in the bud, no matter who the perpetrators are.
The Commissioner stressed that the Committee is to apply relevant sections of the Cybercrime Act of 2015 as operational clauses to ensure all stakeholders operate within the law in the exercise and enjoyment of their fundamental human rights.
Section 24 (1) of the Cybercrime Act, 2015 reads: “A person who knowingly or intentionally sends a message or other matter by means of computer systems or network that is grossly offensive, pornographic or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character or causes any such message or matter to be sent, or he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to another or causes such a message to be sent, commits an offence under this Act and is liable on conviction to a fine of not more than N7, 000, 000.00 or imprisonment for a term, not more than three years or both”
He disclosed that the committee will host its maiden action meeting on Monday even as he affirmed the committment of Governor Ademola Adeleke to delivery of good governance, due process, rule of law and fear of God.

Adeleke's Spokesperson Drags DSS, Oyetola to court over Threat to his Fundamental Human Rights.
The Spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Mallam Olawale Rasheed has approached the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo seeking for the protection and enforcement of his fundamental human rights against the State Security Service, Director General of the State Security Service, the Osun State Director of the State Security and Femi Oyetola, son of the former Governor of Osun State, who is now the Minister of Blue Economy.
In the suit docketed as FHC/OS/CS/89/2024, Olawale is praying the court to restrain the security operatives, either personally or through any of their agents or representatives, from inviting him, arresting him or threatening his rights to liberty, freedom of movement, freedom of expression and freedom of association in any manner on the malicious instigation of Femi Oyetola who is acting the script of some faceless and mischievous politicians who are collaborating to settle political scores against him (Olawale).
In the suit registered on 22nd March, 2024, Olawale fingered Femi Oyetola as being embittered with the loss of his father and their political gang at the last Osun Governorship election, and as the mouthpiece of the incumbent Governor of Osun State who upstaged Femi's father, Oyetola, he is being maliciously hunted by members of the opposition APC using Femi Oyetola, in active collaboration with security agents, to trample upon his fundamental rights.
Olawale deposed to the fact that he is not in anyway a threat to the internal peace and security of Nigeria or any part thereof, to warrant security agents to invite him, but the move by the collaborators is in a bid to play the cards of the opposition APC who are planning to have him illegally arrested and unlawfully detained so as to subdue him or hijack from him his fundamental rights to liberty, freedom of movement, expression and association which he is entitled to at all times since he has not committed any offense to warrant the curtailment of his fundamental rights.
He submitted in the court documents that by virtue of section 46 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria as altered, he needs not wait till his rights are trampled upon before approaching the court.
In Olawale's opinion, Oyetola's move is in connivance with the unsettled opposition APC who are troubled by the daily exposure of their bad governance, unpalatable and unprogressive deeds which they meted out to Osun people while the APC led by Oyetola was in power.
The plaintiff further pointed out that the media agents of the opposition APC have already bombarded the media with the news of his invitation/arrest by the DSS, and that they (APC) have started rejoicing that the Spokesperson to Governor Adeleke is already in the net or will be in the net of the security agents and they will ensure they pressurize the security agents not to release but punish him unjustly having not committed any offence.
This is a pointed indication that the invitation is tainted with malice and witch haunt of the opposition APC with the sole goal of settling political scores with prominent aides and members of Governor Adeleke's Team.
Olawale therefore entreated the court to grant his reliefs so as not allow the defendants to collaborate at trampling upon his rights or get at him unjustifiably.
He has also dispatched his team of legal practitioners to represent him at the DSS Headquarters which is within his rights as a citizen of Nigeria.
Osun PDP Raises Alarm over Plans to Arrest State Officials with Abuja Hooded Security Teams
PRESS STATEMENT
● Calls on DG, DSS, IGP to Avoid Political Partisanship
● As Oyetola’s Henchman, Jamiu Olawumi Confirms the Threat
OSOGBO-23/03/2024-Osunpdp.com
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has raised alarm which was confirmed by Oyetola’s man, Jamiu Olawumi, that hooded security teams from Abuja would soon be arresting top officials of the state government.
The party in a statement on Saturday said its security department had earlier gathered hints that more than 25 state officials have been listed for unofficial arrest and abduction by special security teams from Abuja.
We gathered on good authority as early as last week that the team is billed to enter Osun in the new week. The listed officials are to be picked up without warrant of arrest and without any trace of their whereabouts.
Our sources disclosed that the Governor’s Spokesperson, four special advisers, five party leaders and 15 other state officials were to be abducted by the Abuja team in what would amount to gross violation of the constitution and an open threat to the peace of Osun state.
We are still analyzing the threat when a top member of the opposition confirmed the threats first by the news story which confirmed that Oyetola family and camp have been cooking several petitions against Osun officials at the DSS and second by an open phone call.
Hon. Bisi said the opposition plan was exposed on Thursday night as some members of the opposition APC in Osun bragged that they are going to use federal might to victimize Osun government officials and some leaders of the ruling PDP
The party Chairman noted that the former Special Adviser to former Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Education, Mr Jamiu Olawumi actually phoned some aides of Governor Ademola Adeleke threatening imminent arrest of Osun state officials.
Olawuni in the phone call said he will make sure that he got the Governor’s aides arrested just because of an altercation they had on a WhatsApp platform where the official was asking him (Olawumi) to give an account of how they managed the ministry of education when they were holding sway.
Instead for Mr Olawumi to respond to the question, he placed a call to the official bragging that he will make sure he gets him arrested and that those who will effect the arrest will come from Abuja.
Several other APC operatives have issued similar threats in recent days which confirms the internal reports we already have about an alleged hit team already assembled in Abuja to raid Osun state and arrest state officials.
While we know for certain that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not approve of such an evil plan, we are constrained to alert the public about the imminent threat to peace and stability of Osun state through nefarious activities of Mr Gboyega Oyetola and his faction of Osun state APC.
We call on the Presidency to halt such efforts at destabilizing Osun state through a reprehensible abuse of power and partisan deployment of federal security apparatus against a state whose only sin was to have voted Mr Oyetola out of office.
We alert the Inspector General of Police and the Director General, Department of State Service of this developing threat to peace and stability of Osun state and urge the duo to caution members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State over open threats and harassment of state officials.
The party, through its Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi also called on the Police service and the DSS to avoid political partisanship and eschew becoming an instrument of political vendetta and vengeance in the hands of those seeking pounds of flesh because they lost a free and fair governorship election.
"I want to call on President Bola Tinubu to caution members of his party in Osun because we will not allow our members to be harassed or victimized in the state. We seek Mr President immediate intervention.
“ We are making this appeal on the premise that any hooded security operation against Osun state and party officials will amount to direct violation of the constitution and the fundamental human rights of those officials. We will not succumb to such threats and intimidation.
“ Our members and government will deploy all legal and constitutional measures to stop the planned violation of their rights. We will legally resist any plot to destabilize Osun state now under the well loved and performing Governor Ademola Adeleke

Implementation Panel on Contracts: Osun APC Afraid of its Fraudulent Past - PDP
PRESS STATEMENT
Implementation Panel on Contracts: Osun APC Afraid of its Fraudulent Past - PDP ●●●Says Adeleke Family not Involved in State Contracts
OSOGBO- 22/03/2024 - Osunpdp.com
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state has lambasted the state’s All Progressive Congress (APC) for questioning the decision of Governor Ademola Adeleke to implement the white paper on contract awards during Oyetola’s administration, tasking the committee to set to work immediately.
Reacting to the state’s APC comments on the implementation committee on the White Paper, the State Chairman of the PDP said the APC is jittery that its four years of plundering Osun state between 2018 to 2022 is about to be exposed for criminal prosecution.
Affirming that the PDP government is not embarking on any fresh probe, the party chairman submitted that Governor Adeleke is only giving effect to the outcome of the Executive Order he issued when he assumed office in 2022.
“The contract review committee conducted an extensive investigation on contracts awarded from 2018 to 2022. It sat between late 2022 to 2023 with many top officials of the Oyetola administration appearing before it. The huge report of the committee was followed with a White Paper recommendations for which the Governor has now set up a committee for implementation.
The implementation panel is the final stage of a process that started in 2022. The day of reckoning is here, hence the trepidation within the State APC. When Oyetola officials appeared before the review committee, a lot of fraudulent irregularities, serious breach of procurement laws, diversion of billions of naira, non-execution of fully paid contracts and barefaced theft of state assets were discovered and documented.
The government has a responsibility to bring to book culprits within the legal framework. The state government is obliged to ensure the implementation of the white paper irrespective of failed blackmail by perpetrators of yesterday’s corruption. The state needs no permission of corrupted agents of yesteryears as to when and how the law should take its course.
If the Oyetola regime was that saintly, how come its officials during testimonies before the review committee practically collapsed when confronted with evidence of their misdeeds? How come the Osun APC itself is crying wolf when its antii-people records are about to be shown to the whole world?
As a party, we also submit that the state government is in full compliance with the procurement laws as all allegations from the opposition are meant to derail the state government from implementing the multi-billion naira infrastructure plan. The execution of projects are ongoing and they will be delivered before the mid-term of this administration.
We also strongly submit that no member of the Adeleke family is involved in any state contract as we firmly refute allegations against Dr Deji Adeleke and Mr David Adeleke. The family is only supporting and rightly so, one of their own to deliver on good governance in Osun state.
While the party called on relevant state agencies to give effect to extant laws on spreading of fake news, it declared that freedom of speech is not equal to maligning, seditious, libelous and character assasination through fake news.
The party commends Governor Adeleke for demonstrating statesmanship by his resolve to implement the white paper on the Contract review committee, urging Committee members to deploy the law to bring culprits to book.

OSUN APC IS A LYING MACHINE- GOVERNOR ADELEKE DID NOT TAKE ANY LOAN ● No N18 Billion is Spent on Government House Renovation
OSOGBO-19/03/2024- Osunstate.gov.ng
Our attention has been drawn to an interview granted by a chieftain of the All Progress Congress(APC) in which he again repeated his lies about the Osun State Government having taken a loan of Ten Billion Naira to implement current infrastructure programmes across the state.
We equally rejected fake news that the state government spent 18 billion naira on the renovation of the Government House. It is a figment of imagination of failed men of yesterday. Rather than sponsoring falsehood, we urge the APC to accept it failed while it governed Osun state and it should be brave enough to commend the present government for succeeding where it recorded mass failure.
We affirm once again that the current government has not taken any loan since inception to pursue any programme or project. The man who granted the interview on one innocuous youtube channel lied and acted as a purveyor of fake news.
The interview which was full of concoction of unfounded assertions and deliberate falsehood is another example of barefaced misrepresentation embarked upon by the opposition without shame and sense of guilt. This is another open example of cyberbullying among many others for which the opposition operatives should be censored.
Governor Adeleke had told the public clearly and on several occasions that he is not borrowing to pursue the infra projects. Rather, the Governor explained that his administration's strategy was to block leakages, expand earnings and save for projects by opening a project account dedicated to the financing of the projects.
The project in question is a multi - billion naira expenditure spread over time designed to bridge the huge infra deficit the Governor inherited from the Oyetola administration. Yesterday, today or tomorrow, no loan is contemplated as the Governor has a sustainable investment and implementation plan within the confines of state resources.
Today, Osun APC is in pain because the state is a huge construction site. That positive development on the infra and social investment is an example of committed leadership that is passionate about lifting the state out of under-development. Governor Adeleke is manifesting as a living example of good governance in theory and practice.
Governor Adeleke restated his commitment to implementing the infra projects without loans as a way of drawing investors to Osun and boosting the local economy in line with the administration’s five point agenda. He also emphasized his insistence on due process, transparency and accountability in the governance process.

Governor Adeleke Opens Rehabilitated Government House, Says Upgrading State Assets is a Policy
NEWS RELEASE
OSOGBO: 17/04/2024-Osunstate.gov.ng
Governor Ademola Adeleke on Saturday afternoon opened the newly rehabilitated Government House at Osogbo with top officials and dignitaries joining the Governor for inspection of the facilities, prayers and commissioning.
The rehabilitation covers the main house, the completion of an abandoned multi-bedroom Guest House, remodeling of many of the structures, refixing of many derelict facilities and facelift of the entire Government House.
Accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the House Speaker, Hon Adewale Egbedun; the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye; the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye and members of the State Executive Council, Governor Adeleke officially moved into the Government House amidst prayers and heavy rain across Osogbo yesterday.
Clerics across the faiths were on ground to offer prayers and bless the House while top leaders presented goodwill messages.
Addressing the dignitaries in a short programme, the Governor said his administration is committed to upgrading state assets irrespective of whether such programmes are inherited or commenced by him.
“ I have upgraded the Government House just as I rehabilitated the Governor’s office. We ensured the Government House is rescued from the open neglect we inherited. You can all see the upgraded facilities which now places our state in good stead in the comity of states.
“I met an abandoned Guest House where top dignitaries can be hosted instead of huge bills on outside accommodation. I ordered its rehabilitation and today it is completed. The presidential Lodge I met on the ground was in a terrible state. Our team fixed it.
“Our administration is passionate about upgrading state assets because they are for generations even yet unborn. We must act genuinely on the mantra that government is a continuum. Abandoning projects or state assets as Osun witnessed in recent past is a sign of bad leadership
“As our government is completing old projects and initiating new ones, we are also maintaining and upgrading the old structures, refixing them for effective usage of the state.
“To the good people of Osun state, your Governor has moved into the Government House. I pledge to redouble our efforts at delivering on the five point agenda. We are truly fixated on sustaining the delivery of good governance”, the Governor was quoted as saying.
The Orangun of Oke Ila, HRH, Oba Dokun Abolarin was present to give royal blessings.

Osun PDP to Oyetola: Stop Using President’s Name to Endanger Peace and Good Governance -Enough is Enough
NEWS RELEASE
OSOGBO- 17/03/2024- Osunpdp.com -
The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned former Governor Gboyega Oyetola to stop using and dropping the names of President Bola Tinubu to disrupt governance in Osun state, warning that the state will open can of worms on the former Governor unless he stopped his disruptive activities.
In a strongly worded statement issued by the party state Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, on Sunday, the party accused the former Governor of being a bad loser who has continued to pursue a failed agenda to make Osun state ungovernable through dropping of Mr President’s name to perpetrate political evil in Osun state.
The statement reads further:
“We are constrained to bring to the attention of Mr President and the entire Presidency the untowards activities of former Governor Oyetola which are capable of destroying the peace and stability of Osun state and negatively undermine the presidential agenda for Osun state, South West and Nigeria as a whole.
“We start by noting that the opposition has a legitimate right to play the role of the opposition. Such opposition roles do not however entail evil moves targeting at destroying the peace of the state, misrepresentation of presidential intention, the deliberate disruption of state-federal relations or attempted unlawful abuse of federal power against state officials performing their statutory roles. That will amount to malignant behaviour and a direct threat to democratic ideals.
“We posit that Mr Oyetola was not the first person to lose an election. Great democrats abide by peoples’ wishes and prepare to recontest. They dont pull down the house; they don't get consumed under vengeful poison.
“Governor Adeleke, despite being rigged out in 2018, congratulated Mr Oyetola and moved abroad to complete his education. He instructed us never to attack the new government but to go and prepare for 2022, a process we launched when the timetable for the election was released.
“In 2022, Osun people voted for Governor Adeleke. Right now, the Governor is delivering many projects and programmes which Oyetola failed to achieve under four years. This government has full records of several projects for which money was collected without the jobs being done. Mr Governor abandoned the idea of a probe and is instead completing many projects and starting new ones. Osun is today one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria attracting multiple interests and attention of foreign investors
“Surprisingly , Mr Oyetola has been dropping Mr President’s name to manipulate federal agencies to serve his selfish interest. The other time, he hijacked SMEDAN SME programme to serve his own faction of APC, even leaving out other APC members, giving Mr President a bad name. He did the same on rice distribution which he allegedly took from NEMA but which he shared to his faction against reaching out to the generality of Osun people as Mr President clearly preferred in line with the law.
“Rather than working to unite his party ahead of 2026, he is busy trying to make the state ungovernable, disrupting federal - state collaboration and attempting to use federal agencies such as the FCT DSS to harass state officials. We learnt Oyetola has used the FCT DSS to threaten arrest of the Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor for performing his statutory duties of projecting and promoting Mr Governor.
“We warn that such an attempt at arm twisting is a failed strategy as officials and citizens are entitled to the enforcement of their fundamental human rights as enshrined in the constitution and as the same constitution also regulates human rights and intergovernmental relations among the three tiers of government. We are also convinced that both the Presidency and the national headquarters of the DSS will not endorse deployment of sensitive state services to pursue personal political vendetta.
“Mr Oyetola should stop his evil agenda against Osun state because he should know we have the capacity to tame him but for the state government’s due respect for Mr President. If he does not stop, we will open his records which we are not doing because of our respect for the Presidency.
“We urge Mr President and the entire Presidency to nip in the bud the nefarious, vindictive, anti-state and vengeful activities of Mr Oyetola which are tarnishing the image of the Number One Citizen of the nation as he is using the President’s name to pursue vendetta and activities directly contrary to the bigger agenda of the Presidency.
“Mr President should call Mr Oyetola to order before plunging Osun into an avoidable crisis. Osun is peaceful and our Governor is delivering dividends of democracy under the umbrella of good governance. The State-Federal partnership is moving smoothly and no sore loser should be allowed to jeopardize the larger political and bigger interest of Mr President”, the statement concluded.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry ,Mr Richard Oyegbami assured the Committee of the State Government's commitment for a smooth and seamless handover process, stating that the State Government was proud of its stewardship of the Park and the strides made in preserving its natural heritage before the request from the F.G.
He added among among other things, that, the Park will take off with staff members who may wish to transfer their services to the Federal Civil Service as forms to that effect are already available. ##

Governor Adeleke Issues Red Alert on School and Rural Security, Announces Major Reforms
NEWS RELEASE
●Summons State Security Council Meeting
● Amotekun Billed for Reorganisation
OSOGBO-12/03/2024- Osunstate.gov.ng
Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised alarm over threat to peace and security within the state school system and rural farm communities, summoning a meeting of the state security council and announcing major security reforms.
In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, the Governor made reference to intelligence snippets of deliberate mobilisation of criminal elements to the rural areas of the state, stressing that such reports are alarming and pose serious concerns to the well being of Osun people.
The Governor noted that the administration is worried about reports that those behind the plot are targeting disruption of farming activities through kidnappings and attacks on rural farm settlements.
It was further revealed that schools are being targeted with abductions and attacks as a way of distracting from the implementation of the safe school initiative and the multi-billion naira infrastructure plan.
Governor Adeleke noted that while a meeting of the state security council has been summoned, preliminary directives have been issued to school authorities to take precautions to enhance the safety of pupils and students.
The Ministry of Education and all education agencies have been ordered to review safety measures in Osun schools in line with the safe school initiative.
In specific terms, school principals and heads are expected to clear overgrown school environments and ensure close liaison with the Parents and Teachers Association to secure their school environments.
The Governor further directs the Food Security Committee to submit an interim report to allow for immediate actions to safeguard farm security and secure farmers as the rainy season knocks on the door.
According to the Governor, we expect the initial report to contain practical and implementable measures to safeguard our farming communities through closer integration and mobilisation of the local hunters and forest rangers.
The Governor further announced his plans to embark on major reforms of the Amotekun security force, frowning at the internal rivalry, opposition penetration and external intervention that are negatively affecting the operation of the Amotekun force.
The Amotekun , the Governor noted, is to be reorganized to make it a truly efficient force to complement the efforts and operation of the police and other security agencies.
He assured the public that his administration has taken preemptive steps to secure our schools and farming communities, describing Osun as a peaceful state which will not succumb to attempts to destabilize the peace and harmony among our people.
“I have summoned a meeting of the State Security Council to firm up all plans. I assure our people that I am on top of the situation. We are committed to securing our schools, our farm and our society."
“No stone will be left unturned to disrupt plans of enemies of progress to plunge the state into crisis. I urge members of the public to inform security agencies of any unusual movement or activities across the state”, Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying.

Igbajo/Iree Kingship: APC Illegalities now Corrected-Osun PDP
PRESS STATEMENT
Igbajo/Iree Kingship: APC Illegalities now Corrected-Osun PDP
●Says Adeleke’s Legal Actions Shamed APC and her Chieftains
11/03/2024- Osunpdp.com
The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Osin state has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for upholding due process, chieftaincy laws and tradition to correct illegalities and cronyism foisted on the people of Iree and Igbajo by the former government of Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
Responding to the criticism of the state government by the All Progressive Congress, the PDP derided the reaction of the opposition as lacking basis in truth, logic, law and tradition, declaring that “APC is shamed and humiliated by the legality and populism of Adeleke leadership on Iree and Igbajo kinship matters.
Osun people were shocked at the barbarism and brigandry exhibited by Mr Oyetola when he imposed an unpopular Gboyega Famodun on the people of Igbajo. It was the height of abuse of power as other Princes from other sections of the ruling houses were violently excluded from the selection process while the impostor was hurriedly crowned by Mr Oyetola at the Government House.
Mr Oyetola in the twilight of his administration committed many abominable sins against the culture and tradition of our people even as he mismanaged the state economy under a deeply sadistic leadership style. Ire, Igbajo and Ikirun people endured an inhuman reign of terror until Governor Adeleke assumed the reign of leadership.
We therefore congratulate the Governor for allowing provisions of the chieftaincy law to prevail. We thank him for allowing excluded ruling houses to have a say and presence. We hail the Governor for ensuring level playing fields in the selection process.
Contrary to the hallucination of the APC, the State Executive Council meeting was held today with 23 members physically in attendance while the State Governor and four other cabinet members attended the meeting virtually.
The meeting deliberated on several memos including the approval of the nomination of Dr Ademola Makinde as forwarded by the affected local government and as voted for by the warrants chiefs appointed in line with law when surviving kingmakers refused to perform their statutory duties.
We reminded the APC that the PDP administration is a government of due process, rule of law and public interest, not a regime of sadists, brigands and political armed robbers. Governor Adeleke is particularly a man committed to clearing inherited mess from APC years of maladministration and a leader who is passionate about observance of law and tradition. We task the APC to stop crying wolf where there is known. Igbajo and Iree people are moving on , away from the era of lawlessness and man inhumanity to man. Signed: Hon Sunday Bisi, State Chairman, Osun State PDP

Governor Adeleke to Launch Infra Plan at Ilesa and Ikirun, Approves Royal Arena in Front of Owa’s Palace
NEWS RELEASE
OSOGBO- 09/03/2024- Osunstate.gov.ng
As work continues on the state’s multi-billion naira infrastructure plan, Governor Ademola Adeleke is set to launch road dualisation at Ilesa and underpass at Ikirun.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Spokesperson to the State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, procurement process on the Ilesa dualisation and the Ikirun underpass is reported to be ongoing and nearing completion.
Between now and next month, the procurement process will be completed and actual work will start in earnest. Mr Governor was recently at the palace of His Majesty, the Owa of Ijesaland and he restated his firm commitment to the development of Ijesaland and other parts of the state.
Mr Governor has further directed that additional features be included at Owa’s Palace end of the dualisation from Brewery area. A royal arena is to be included right from the palace of Owa. This will add colors to the ancient city of Ilesa.
While reaffirming the Governor’s resolve to develop all parts of the state, the Spokesperson restated that Governor Adeleke has not borrowed a kobo since his assumption of office either for the ongoing multi billion naira infra plan or for other purposes.
It must be stated that the funding for the infra plan is coming from savings from government revenue and inflows as well as blockage of leakage from revenue space. A dedicated project account serves as a holding point.
The public may also want to note that the Governor’s prudent management of public resources accounted for the successful take off of the University of Ilesa as well as recent approval for the reconstruction of all internal roads within the university.
Aside the dualisation , it is important to stress that the infra plan also covers 1.5km across all the 30 local governments in the state including area office, complete renovation of 31 selected schools, fresh 332 water projects for each of the 332 political wards and renovation/upgrade of primary healthcare centers across the local government.

Igbajo Warrant Chiefs Justify Selection of new Owa of Igbajo, Says "We Take no Bribe
PRESS STATEMENT
March 9th,2024
Warrant Chiefs who voted for the new Owa of Igbajo-elect, Dr Ademola Makinde have denied allegations by the Osun State Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) that they collected money to vote, describing the allegations as a defamation of character and an evil concoction from the pit of hell.
"The APC chairman or whoever wrote that release for him must have drunk ‘ogogoro’ or over-smoke weed which gave them the temerity to issue such a lie. They may have woken up on the wrong side of their bed.
We took no money from anybody. We accepted the appointment as warrant chiefs because it was in line with the law. The law provides that where traditional kingmakers refused to perform their role, the local authority is free to appoint warrant chiefs.
The traditional chiefs were invited by the local authority to start the nomination process, but they refused and the local authority appointed warrant chiefs. It is perfectly within the law to do that.
And as to why the selection was done at Osogbo, it was due to mobilization of thugs by Prince Famodun. They were threatening to kill us. The people of Igbajo now advised us not to allow bloodshed.
So we wrote and inform Chairman of Boluwaduro East Local government to do the selection process at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs ,Osogbo on the ground that the some thugs who are loyal to Prince Famoodun and APC are threatening to kill us if we dare vote another person again except Prince Famoodun.
The thugs threatened that they must not do it in Igbajo and that if they did it they would kill them and they discovered that their lives were in serious danger. That is why we chose to do it in Osogbo.
Since we selected Prince Makinde, Igbajo has been peaceful and peace will continue to reign in our town. We thanked the government and leaders and residents of Igbajo for their support and understanding.
We want to assure the public that we voted for Prince (Dr.) Ademola Makinde for the progress and development of the ancient town of Igbajo in Boluwaduro East Local Government Area of Osun State. We voted in line with our conscience and without any inducement", the Warrant Chiefs noted a statement jointly signed by them.
E-signed by Warrants Chiefs: Fajoore Ayobami, Akintunde Fatai, Faluyi Kayode, Emmanuel Abiodun Adegbite Oluseye Odunlami.
