The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state has descended on the elders forum of Osun state All Progressive Congress, declaring that “when elders openly celebrate illegality, such a group is nearing full extinction”
In a statement issued by its chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, the PDP lambasted the vow of the so called elders to take over Osun in 2026 and hijack the local governments based on a non-existing court declarations, warning that “Osun people are ready to counter and overwhelm agents of retrogression and anarchy.
“Osun people rejected the APC in 2022 and today they are reaping the benefits. Osun will not go back to the dark days of bad governance by the power of God and the voters.
“We are shocked that even the APC elders in Osun state are in love with illegality. No one, no matter how highly placed will be allowed to foster chaos and conflict on the good people of Osun state.
“The judgement of the Akure Court of Appeal is clear and unambiguous. It contains no order reinstating the sacked council chairmen. The APP judgement that sacked the council chairmen subsists. APC should wake up from their day dreaming.
“We must add that the APC psychological warfare has failed. The PDP and its government remain strong. We challenge APC to meet us on the field come February 22nd. We will beat the disoriented opposition as we did in 2022 state elections and the 2023 national elections”, the statement posited.
