The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has congratulated the newly elected and sworn-in Local Government Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen and 332 Councillors in the 30 Local Government areas and area office, Modakeke in Osun State.
This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Sunday.
According to him, "your resilience, consistency and hard work has now provided a platform for you where the expression of your good intentions for the downtrodden is made possible".
"As a Chairman or Councillor, your new position and status is an opportunity to deliver democracy dividends to the good people of Osun State in your respective localities. People at the grassroots must feel your positive impact, in your tenure of office", the Commissioner said.
He also urged them to represent the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, well in the eyes of the general public.
"You must portray yourselves as good ambassadors for our great party, PDP. It is actually not about you but how happy and fulfilled your electorates, our people at the grassroots can be, because of the positions you occupy today", the Commissioner said.
Rev. Jenyo prayed that the Almighty GOD will give them the wisdom, strength and enablement for a successful tenure of office.
Signed:
