Apostle (Mrs.) Folorunso Alakija has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the renewed mandate as a testament to the confidence and trust the people of the state continue to repose in his leadership.
In a congratulatory letter dated September 3, 2026 and addressed to Governor Adeleke, Alakija expressed her joy and gratitude to God over what she described as the Governor's “resounding victory” in the recent governorship election.
She said the Governor's first-term commitment to the welfare, development, progress and well-being of Osun and its people had not gone unnoticed, adding that his re-election affirmed the work already done by his administration.
According to her, the renewed mandate also places a responsibility on the Governor to deliver even greater service to the people of Osun.
Alakija expressed confidence that Adeleke would meet the expectations of the people with the same dedication, humility and vision that, according to her, have characterised his tenure so far.
She further urged the Governor to remain guided by wisdom, integrity and genuine love for the people, expressing optimism that Osun would gain significantly from a leadership that places citizens' welfare above all else.
She specifically prayed that Adeleke's second term would bring “even greater strides in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and the general upliftment of the state.”
The businesswoman and philanthropist also prayed for divine wisdom, strength and grace for the Governor as he begins his new term, asking God to grant him and his administration favour throughout the tenure.
“Please accept my warmest wishes for a successful and impactful tenure ahead,” Alakija wrote.
