Compassionate Group Backs Governor Adeleke For Re-Election

The Compassionate Group has declared its unwavering support for the continuity of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke as the Executive Governor of Osun State till 2030. The endorsement was made during the group’s state executive meeting held today, where they ratified their commitment to the Governor’s second term bid.

The State Secretary of Adeleke General Summit, Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jelil Abiodun who represented the BOT Chairman, Hon Lukman Afolabi and the State Coordinator of Adeleke General Summit, Hon Ditti Aluko commended the Compassionate Group for their steadfast loyalty and dedication to Governor Adeleke. He described the group as a coalition of intellectual politicians and devoted supporters who have consistently championed the Governor’s vision and administration.

Comrade Samakin expressed profound gratitude to the Compassionate Group for their support before, during, and after the 2022 gubernatorial election. He encouraged the group to remain steadfast in their commitment to the current administration, assuring them that their loyalty would yield benefits for all members. He also urged the group to actively support the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in their respective local government areas in the upcoming local government elections.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Adisa Akintegbe, who accompanied Comrade Samakin, lauded the group for their dedication and energy. He highlighted the critical role of support groups in driving electoral success and assured them of continued access to the dividends of democracy under Governor Adeleke’s leadership.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for the Compassionate Group to formally endorse Governor Adeleke for a second term, with the campaign slogan “Ìmọ̀lẹ̀ till 2030” reaffirming their commitment to his administration.

Hon. Raifu Kazeem Adeboye, popularly known as Baba Sekina, a Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, was also present to lend his support to the gathering.

In his closing remarks, Comrade Samakin, on behalf of Hon. Lukman Afolabi and Hon. Diti Aluko, expressed appreciation to the Compassionate Group for their unwavering support. He encouraged them to remain active and dedicated within their respective local government areas to further strengthen the Governor’s administration and the PDP’s grassroots presence.

In attendance were the Chairperson of Compassionate, Adeniji Adekemi Felicia, Chairman of the Compassionate, Adediji Isaac, welfare of the Compassionate, Olaniyan Olufunke and other Executives of Compassionate were fully on ground.

The endorsement by the Compassionate Group gives credence to the growing support for Governor Adeleke’s administration and his vision for sustainable development and prosperity in Osun State.
